St George’s Day Parade
St Georges Day Parade
Sunday 22nd April 2018
at Hermitage Leisure Centre, Whitwick
Timings
Meet on the field near sports hall at 1.45pm
Parade moves off at 2.15pm
Parade dismiss at approx 4.00pm
This is a really exciting opportunity for the Beavers to participate in a district parade. It is a great day, complete with marching band and an opportunity to meet other Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers from across the district. It also counts towards the Beavers Bronze Award!
Uniform
Full smart uniforms are to be worn, including neckerchief and smart, black shoes. Generally coats will not be worn on parade, but should the weather suggest otherwise, the parade marshal will make a decision on the afternoon.
Car Park / Dropping Off
Cars should drop off at the car park to the fishing lake or astroturf end of the leisure centre, situated on Hermitage Road. Then walk across the field to the assembly point near the sports hall.
Can parents/carers/siblings come to the Parade?
Parents and non-scouting members are asked to stand to the external side of the group at the start of the parade, and if walking with the parade, must walk on the pavement at all times for safety.
We look forward to seeing you all there!
