Whether you want to take your Scouts away for a new outdoor adventure, or simply need to do some repairs on the Scout Hut, there’s probably a grant or foundation you can apply to for support.
Supported by members of the 1st Markfield Parent and Community Support Group, you will help identify and secure new funding opportunities to support the group’s growth and development.
What does the role involve?
- Identifying funding opportunities (this could be as simple as signing up to mailing lists and keeping an eye out!).
- Apply for funding opportunities – working with the Group Scout Leader and Support Group to provide any necessary evidence.
Do I need any experience?
No previous experience with identifying and applying for funding opportunities? No problem, we provide training, learning opportunities and cups of tea – every step of the way. You won’t ever be alone – you will also be supported the support group, group scout leader and scouts HQ.

You will be supported at every step of your journey and if you decide that this isn’t right for you, that ok. There are lots of other ways to volunteer.
