Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR)
The main purpose of Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR) is to describe how the Scouts is structured, organised, managed and governed. The latest version of POR can be found at: https://www.scouts.org.uk/por. It includes copies of our key policies and rules we must follow as a Scout Group.
Safe Scouting
Staying safe and safeguarding information can be found on the Scout’s website: https://www.scouts.org.uk/information-for-parents/keeping-children-and-young-people-safe/ and https://www.scouts.org.uk/volunteers/staying-safe-and-safeguarding.
Scout Hut Risk Assessments
When using the Scout Hut it is important that our risk assessment and policies are carried out. You should always leave the Scout Hut as you found it – and be respectful of other users.
In all cases, the users must have the appropriate level of public liability insurance, and follow the government advice specific to their industry or business type. They must complete their own risk assessments of the property and activities they plan to undertake. A copy of this risk assessment should be made available upon request.
Data Protection and GDPR
Our commitment to protecting privacy and data forms a key policy for Scouting.
